TopEngineer Kit Tips
Placing mines in waterways are a good tactic for the engineer kit. The latest patch has the the mines so they do not blow up from grenades, arty, or other exposives. Teammates can run them over without getting harmed except when they run over them and jump out of vehicle when they are still over them then they blow up and you get a TK. You can also get TK's from mines if you drive over them then quickly switch to passenger mode while you move a bit. The last TK you may get from your mines if they were layed before you died. If a enemy drives over mines you layed before you died it will say killed instead of AT Mine kill. Friendlies can also get injured or killed from them too since they are getting close to disappearing.
Instead of placing mines across one whole path place them in commonly driven paths this way you do not waste your mines. If there is a bush in your present location place the mine there. I also like to place about two mines at the top/bottom of a hill or in a blind spot. That usually gets a good few. Its also good to hide the mines within dark spots. Mines that are placed there are not so visible as they blend. also aim at placing mines in grass. If i'm going to be in a Tank, APC, or AA I like to keep a mine or two handy. Because if your vehicle is hurt badly you can launch your smoke (if available) then place a mine on your vehicle then repair. This way if a enemy sees it they think hey a available vehicle. They get in and blow up. It would be a tragedy if they take it and use it against you. Another thing I love doing which doesnt always work is throw a mine on top of some enemy armor. If the driver gets out to try to shoot you he is probably thinking you just threw some C4 on him since you are running away. You then run towards the tank then get in. You could do this with a grenade but I think the mine is more effective. One thing I do before getting inside some armor is take out my wrench then get inside it. This way if you are hit drive away from enemy and launch smoke you can jump out and immediatlly repair the armor. If you didnt do that you probably will die with the tank since you have to switch to wrench. I have saved my tank many times since I had my wrench selected before I got into the tank. It is very useful if your teammate is a engineer driving Armor/APC/AA because he can heal you if you are taking hits. You also expand your view coverage. What I usually do if i'm taking a flag is have my teammate scan one area while I scan the other. When you drive your Tank into a enemy base that has another tank or something that can cause me damage like a TOW I destroy the TOW and put one round into the enemy Tank. Its good to weaken the other armor because if they get in it you can definatly destroy it in one shot. If it remains there then your squad buddy spawns on you tell him to get out and get in the tank. Roll up to it then repair it. You get repair points doing that. One important thing you should do when approaching bases is know where the TOW resides. I say this because the TOW can either kill you in one shot or damage you drastically then all you need is a AT Rocket to destroy you. So make sure you destroy the TOW once you see it. The sky may be rough with Choppers and jet pilots and your team may not have good air support. If this is the case I chose to leave my armor behind and go all fast moving vehicles.
This is my favorite weapon. To a great many the shotgun can be frustrating at first against automatic weaponry but once it is used with some skill it can be a good weapon. You could eventually get a one shot one kill. I always aim towards the chest area. The closer you shoot the less you have to worry about having to shoot again. Before when we used to be able to hop and shoot the shotgun was used a lot more often for close combat gun fights. Remember to use good times to reload using the shotgun. Reload only when you are not in a enemy hotspot as you may be killed when reloading. As I approach the enemy and he sees me when I shoot him I kind of move in a zig zag form to try and avoid fire. The Chinese shotty is my favorite shotgun. It seems to have the greatest range out of all. It also makes a cool shooting noise. The US shotgun is powerful also like the Chinese one but does not share the range trait. The Mec shotgun is my least favored shotgun because you have to shoot 2-3 shots at the enemy to kill him. Sometimes it takes more. It does not even hold that much ammo. It sounds like a piece of junk when its shot. When i'm using the Mec shotty I find myself looking for US engineers to kill to take their kit and hope they use the default US shotty.

TopNon-Tactical Fun things to do
When a couple of my clan members start to join our TeamSpeak server we go and begin to start our Ranked server up. When we go in we like to pass time by either TKing, Knifing, learning and playing around with the game physics, or just plain practice.
One thing you can try doing with the medic kit is piling a bunch of medics in a car or transport vehicle then going out of bounds as fast and far as you can go. You will live much longer than if you were just one person but it will kill you eventually.
Delta and I were alone on Strike of Karkand one day hoping we would get more people to start the server. I was trying to see how long I can keep the vodnik alive in the water. What I was doing was driving the Vodnik in the water then switching to passanger (f3 or f4) and started to wrench. Eventually we had boxes and everything in there to try to repair. It never seemed to work in deep water. The deep water kept killing us.
Then one other day we were playing on Sharqi Peninsula (32 size) waiting for it to start once again. We were able to drive the Vodnik from Beach House to the island. Then from the island we drove to the shore of Hotel. We had two engineers in the back repairing the Vodnik (one is sufficient enough) with one driver. As the Vodnik went through the water there were two boats with Engineers driving them on either side of the Vodnik in order to stabilize and and repair it. We also made it across with one engineer in the back with stablizing boats. Without the boats stabilizing the Vodnik it would go bobbing in the water killing the health way to fast even for two wrenches repairing in the back. Keeping the Vodnik stable is key to repairing at a managable rate.
My new goal is to try and drive the open seas as long as possible with the Vodnik. Deep water is the most difficult to stay alive in.
Today I think I found a wrench exploit to keep us alive in the water. I drove my car next to the docks where the water goes from shallow to deep real quick. I inched it in the water until my health went down at a manageable rate. At some point when I wrenched my health to the top it stopped wrenching. I was able to stay at that depth. I inched it in a bit more stopped and wrenched. I wrenched it until the Vodnik stayed healthy and got out. I had to leave for school at this point so I moved it in a bit too fast and it died. What i'm trying to say here is if we can inch it in and do this possibly we can keep it alive in the deep water. I think that we can lock the vodnik health at full with the wrench and drive it in water. Thats how I think I did it with delta. I think I was able to lock it by wrenching it then stopping and continuing until I didnt need to wrench anymore.
Anyway, this is pretty difficult to explain as it needs more testing. You may think my test is stupid but I like it.
If anyone else has some other challange we can do with their favorite kit i'd be willing to help.
I think we can test these the same way we did with the Vodnik. I suppose it will work in a similar fashion. If not we can increase the repair power by adding passenger engineers in the boat.
Fast jeeps do not have passenger seats that you may wrench in so that may pose a issue to the jeeps life. I suppose we can keep stablizing engineer boats on the side while the driver drives. One thing you can do to make up for the lack of wrench seats is to have some engineers in the boat seats wrenching the jeep.
Tanks do not float they drive along the bottom of the water terrain. If you can keep a Tank alive while it drives below the the water you will have a submersible armored tank. It would be amusing to me to successfully keep a tank alive while it drives under the water. One way I plan on trying it is to drop supply boxes in a localized area in the water. Have the APC fill up with Engineers. Then have the tank go in the water with the APC following close behind. The APC will act as one big mobile repair crate while the boxes below can help support the tank. If that does not work scratch mission submersible tank.
